Family Meals
Groups that wish to be involved at the House may prepare a breakfast or dinner for the families. Homecooked meals provide comfort and nutrition to anxious parents leaving for or returning from a long day at the hospital. They truly appreciate being able to rest rather than rush to the kitchen to cook. Approximately 30-40 people will be eating meals each day. Groups are responsible for planning the menu, shopping for the food and preparing it in the House kitchen.
As few as 2 to as many as 8 people can come to cook at the House. Groups may arrive to cook breakfast after 7am during the week and 9am on the weekends. Dinner preparations may begin after 4pm to serve at approximately 5:30pm. We have a fully stocked kitchen with pots and pans, cooking utensils, serving bowls, plates, silverware, and cups. You may wish to prepare some dishes ahead of time. We encourage you to take advantage of our wonderful kitchen to prepare your meal here.
